a residency-trained, ABEM-certified emergency medicine physician
for an opportunity in Washington. Located on Northwest Washington's
Puget Sound, halfway between Seattle and Vancouver, British Columbia,
Mount Vernon is home to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival and rare
trumpeter swans that spend the winter just outside the city limits.
Mount Vernon offers an excellent school system, medical care and
shopping opportunities, including a Farmers' Market. The local community
college, Skagit Valley College, is an award-winning school that
serves three counties. There are also many opportunities for outdoor
activities, such as local lakes for fishing, swimming and boating
and a very complex system of walking and bicycle trails. |

Eastside Emergency Physicians (EEP)
is a privately owned group which partners with Swedish Medical Services.
Swedish has 5 hospitals & 3 free-standing EDs in the Seattle metropolitan
area. We are looking for full-time MLPs to join us at the new Swedish
Mill Creek ED located 11 miles north of Seattle. The ideal candidate
will be energetic, have a minimum of 1 year ED experience, have
excellent customer service skills, and be able to work in a fast
paced environment.
Swedish Mill Creek opened in February 2011; is
a 24/7 free-standing ED; has 18 rooms, MRI/CT/US, and a full lab;
uses digital radiology, EPIC electronic medical records, and scribes;
is a certified stroke center with telemedicine; is staffed with
24 hours of physician and 12 hours of MLP coverage; evaluates an
average of 65 patients daily; and maintains a patient satisfaction
score above the 95th percentile. It also houses primary and specialty

EEP + Swedish = Quality. Our Swedish Issaquah ED
was named a Press Ganey Summit Award winner in 2010 (only 13 other
EDs in the entire country received this prestigious honor); and
again in 2011. Of the 34 EDs in the Seattle metropolitan area, the
Swedish Issaquah ED was ranked #1 for overall service quality in
the 2008 Puget Sound Consumers’ Checkbook. EEP was the single
emergency group in the country to receive the coveted Stuart Fleming
Patient Safety Award in 2010.
