Prestigious health system in beautiful Southcentral
PA seeks emergency medicine physician for their ED expansion to
be completed next year, may be family practice or internal medicine
with ED experience. The health system has been the recipient of
numerous awards including Thomson Reuters Top 100 Hospitals, Magnet
Hospital status, US News & Reports Best Hospitals, Best Places
to Work in PA, etc. The 30+ physicians and midlevels who staff
the two ED's work nine to twelve hour shifts, but plans are to
go to nine hours exclusively in the near future. There is double
physician coverage with some triple physician coverage. The departments'
volumes are 60k and 3lk, but will increase with expansion. These
are teaching institutions with ties to a major teaching affiliate
for ED residents. Retention within the departments has been exceptional
primarily due to the amicable work environment and autonomy within
the organization and group with excellent ED director leadership.
Patient satisfaction percentages have increased very favorably
recently. Appropriate candidates will be offered a competitive

EM Clinical Teaching Position: Philadelphia
Positions available at the Episcopal campus of Temple University
Hospital, a satellite ED seeing 27,000 patients per year. There
are 44 hours of physician coverage and 10 hours of PA coverage per
day with periodic presence of EM residents. The physicians also
work shifts at the TUH site a Level I trauma center with 51,000
adult visits per year where they directly supervise Emergency Medicine
residents, other housestaff, and medical students. The typical physician
works 36 clinical hours per week over 47 weeks with one week for
CME ($2,500 stipend). The schedule is partially by template with
an equal distribution of night and holiday shifts.
This position carries a clinical faculty appointment in Temple University
with the attendant generous benefit package of the University including
the TIAA-CREF Retirement Plan. The Department offers a fair and
supportive work environment. The salary is competitive with pure
clinical positions in area community hospitals. Temple University
