Specific Tasks:
- The Emergency Services Physician shall remain on-shift until
the relief physician arrives in order to provide continuity

- Be capable of performing the full range of emergency medicine
services to include the ability and experience to adequately
diagnose and treat diseases and injuries.
- Examine the patient, render a medical assessment of the patient’s
condition, and take appropriate action to provide immediate
definitive medical care to reduce the emergency medical condition.
- Respond to “Code Blue” alerts within the hospital and provide
resuscitation treatment until more specialized treatment arrives.
Reassure and treat non-acute conditions in priority established
by medical triage.
- Prepare and document all appropriate history, physical examinations,
profile changes, and preoperative diagnosis.
- Dispatch and provide medical control for ambulances, using
MTF procedures. Accompany EMTs on ambulance runs where indicated
by the nature of the emergency and MTF guidance and procedures.
- When scheduling permits, attend the Emergency Service’s monthly
staff meetings and any additional meetings as required.
- Provide house staff teaching, resident lectures, attend department
grand rounds, and other scheduled academic activities.

Hospital, located in Sylvania, Ohio, is seeking BC/BE emergency
trained physicians to join its well-established active service.

Flower Hospital is a 300-bed acute care community teaching hospital.
The newly renovated state-of-the-art ED is a Level III Trauma center
offers a superb work environment, 100% specialty coverage with pediatric
commitment, has 25 beds, 3 major trauma rooms, an urgent care center,
and sees over 34,000 patients annually. Level I trauma cases are
referred to The Toledo Hospital, also a member of ProMedica Health
System and major tertiary care center, located in Toledo, Ohio (<8
miles). The Flower Hospital FP Residency Program is located on the
campus so the family practice residents rotate through the emergency
center. Everything about the Flower Hospital campus is geared toward
excellence and extraordinary levels of service.
Flower Hospital is affiliated with ProMedica Health System, a regional,
not-for-profit health system located throughout northwest Ohio and
