Carolina Mountain Emergency Medicine is currently
seeking applicants for a full time Emergency Medicine physician
at Angel Medical Center
In Franklin, NC. Franklin is a picturesque town located about an
hour west of Asheville. The town is situated on a limited access
highway about halfway between Asheville and Atlanta. Home to about
3600 residents Franklin hosts many visitors as well, particularly
in the spring, summer, and fall months. More information on Franklin
and Angel Medical Center can be found at www.angelmed.org.
The Emergency Department at Angel is well equipped and modern.
Patients are currently being seen at a rate of approximately 14,000
per year. The EM physicians at Angel are active members of the
medical Staff with corresponding privileges, protections, and
responsibilities. They are employees of Carolina Mountain Emergency
medicine, a premier private mid sized Emergency Medicine group
based in Asheville, NC. The Franklin contract is currently the
only contract held by CMEM other than their flagship contract
in Asheville. The EM staff at Angel has been quite stable during
the several years that CMEM has held the contract. CMEM enjoys
a good relationship with the employed EM physicians at Angel and
with the Angel Hospital administration.
Board certification in Emergency Medicine is required at Angel
MedicalCenter. BCEM boards are acceptable.

Moses Cone Health System, is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric trained Emergency physician to work in their newly created Pediatric track ED. Pediatric case mix is varied. There is excellent back up, PICU, and 24-hour in-house Pediatric and Family Medicine residents. The Peds ED sits inside of a large, 70,000+ patients per year, level II Trauma Center Emergency Department.
This is a fulltime position, 140-150 hours of coverage per month of coverage, with supplemental midlevel staffing. Employed position with competitive compensation package and excellent benefits.
Moses Cone Health System is a not-for-profit, community-based, five-hospital system with 1000+ beds. The healthcare system is also a recognized leader in trauma, cardiology, neuroscience, oncology, and rehabilitation.
