Outstanding opportunity to practice Emergency Medicine
at a Level II, community teaching hospital.
This 52,000 volume department is currently seeking a full-time BC
residency trained physician to join the staff. Work 8 & 8.5
hour shifts mid-week, 10 & 12 hour shifts weekends for a total
of 1700 hours per year, but get paid for 2080 hours. The ED is well
covered with 42 hours of double physician coverage and 15 hours
of PA coverage (increases to 20 hours during the summer). Outstanding
benefit package includes 9.5 weeks of paid time off, $5,000 for
CME, fully paid family health plan, and a $13,000 contribution to
your retirement plan paid by the hospital. Last years incentive
bonus averaged $28,000.

This state of the art, 300 bed community teaching
hospital and Level II Trauma Center, seeks BE/BC Residency trained
Emergency Medicine Physicians. The annual volume is 50,000, with
double and triple physician coverage, and additional quadruple coverage
provided by PA's. Physicians should be prepared to work 1640 hours
per year with very flexible scheduling; most shifts are 8-hours
with 12-hour shifts on weekends. The patient population is varied
with mostly acute medical and surgical patients. The admission rate
is high; approximately 28 % of patients seen in the ED are admitted.
The physicians currently see between 1.7 to 1.8 patients per hour.
Candidates will be required to teach IM and EM Residents, Medical
Students, PA's, and Paramedics, and will receive a faculty appointment
to a prestigious University.
Competitive compensation package includes all benefits: Malpractice
(occurrence 2mm-6mm), Dental, Medical, Life, Disability, 4 weeks
paid Vacation, 1 week of CME, 401K with a dollar to dollar match
up to 5%, and an on-site health club. |
